Enhanced Patient
Responsibility Estimates
Deliver better service at the point of care with the eMEDIX Patient Responsibility Estimate. Provide a good-faith
cost estimate for planned procedures by quickly running a patient’s insurance eligibility for the planned procedure
codes. Save time with pre-configured Linked Transactions for common procedure bundles. In CGM LYTEC 2025, this service expands for self-pay and uninsured patients.
This integrated estimate display allows the user to make any patient or insurance adjustments for coverage, copays, coinsurance, remaining deductibles, etc. Past payments and charge histories are factored in to provide a more accurate estimate. Providers can print and save patient estimates and have the option to tailor them with customizable messaging.
Faster Claim Generation with MultiLink Charge Entry
Diagnosis codes have been added to MultiLink transactions in CGM MEDISOFT v29. This important addition makes it
even easier to create “charge sets” and quickly generate
claims that include diagnoses.
- No more manual entry of diagnosis codes when using
MultiLink for charge entry - No more claim rejections stemming from diagnosis
code typos.
This enhancement includes diagnosis pointers and the
ability to add modifiers to CPT codes, too. This feature is
great for standard visits—DOT physicals, injections, well
child visits, etc.—and users retain the flexibility to add or
remove specific codes based on the complexity of each
patient encounter.
Transaction Entry Enhancements
Transaction entry alerts are more powerful in CGM MEDISOFT v29. A new, date-based alert warns users if they enter dates of service outside of specified parameters.
This is very helpful for new CPT/ICD-10 codes and early year/
end-of-year transaction entry. This important messaging
ensures that your users are coding within a valid date range,
saving users time and reducing errors.
The alerts and rules are customizable. Copy existing messaging rules to easily assist in creating a new alert.
