Practices using Lytec can now submit claims electronically directly to Medicare and other carriers. SendClaim Claim Manager gives you the ability to process both professional (HCFA-1500) and institutional (UB-92) claims for providers.

What is SendClaim Claim Manager?

Claim Manager creates claim files directly from Lytec and outputs them in the ANSI 4010A1 native format configured to meet the specifications of the provider and each payer they transmit to. It also interprets and processes all reports received from the payers, including text format reports and ANSI format reports (997, 835, etc.). The reports can be previewed, printed, and posted into the practice management system. No other software is required.

Is direct claims right for me?

Sending direct is a good solution if the majority of your claims go to one or two carriers. Direct claims takes more time and effort on your part to setup, test, and transmit your claims. However, once setup, all you will need to do is submit your claim file to the carrier. There is no charge to submit directly other than the price of the SendClaim translator. Customers can not submit directly to most commercial insurance companies. You would need to print and mail these claims on paper. The cost of postage may be as high or higher than the fee for the clearinghouse. If you submit claims to various different insurance carriers, using a clearinghouse is probably your best choice.
